Prusa Slicer making my machine hit the extreme Y edge for first wipe line, and Oozing

Ran into this issue after starting to use the slicer recently with a new printer.

To do the first line at edge of bed my machine hit the end with a small cracking sound but seems fine.

I'm using a printer that's 220X220 in X and Y and just using Prusa Mk3s default print settings for it, and I changed the bed shape in the settings because I thought that might fix it since the settings said 250X210 for some reason... but it still went to the end. It doesn't make sense to me since the Prusa bed is smaller than mine. Any clue why this is happening?

Do I have to edit the G-code to tell it not to go out as far for that first line? Or is there an easier way. Also can someone tell me which code to change for that to bring it closer?

Also, I always get some oozing before a print which is a bit annoying and it seems some people just deal with it, not sure best way to prevent this. My machine touches off(while oozing a bit so created a blob at center), goes to do a wipe, then heads back to stat printing, all while a tiny bit of oozing. I assume this also has some easy fixes, which would be best? Thanks for the help.

Hi Geri, the prusa bed is 250x 210 but it has a generous space at the front and back of the Y axis
Your printer may not have this generous space

in the Slicer Settings,  under 'Printer Settings', there is a section for
'Custom Gcode, Start Gcode'

within that there is probably a command like this

;go outside print area
G1 Y-3 F1000

this causes the nozzle to move 3mm in front of the home position, in order to print the prime line off the main build area.
delete this information from the custom Gcode window and the prime line should be printed 3mm further back when you slice your next model.
If you save the printer configuration to a new name (to represent your printer type) the change will be saved so that you can use it again when you next use that printer configuration!

I just set Y0 instead of Y-3 which kept it inside, as removing it altogether meant the line was going to be in the center of the bed where the print is
