Prusa slicer & Input Shaper

Helllo

I am a proud owner of  MK4 , I recently updated firmware 5.0.0 for Input Shaper.

In Prusa slicer, when I select the MK4 input shaper printer I no longer see the filament profiles that I had defined for the MK4 0.4 nozle printer.

What is the way to copy these filament profiles to the MK4 Input Shaper printer? Thanks in advance

Regards

RE: Prusa slicer & Input Shaper

There are several threads dealing with how profiles work and what is required to make them appear for printer/print combinations they were not designed for.  For example https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/prusaslicer/custom-printer-profile-and-the-filament-list/   there are many other too.

The IS profiles I believe are modified so using a standard profile might get you less than optimal results.  Check the existing IS filament profiles for entries in the custom gcode fields and look for anything else that's different to standard, like hotter temps etc to make the plastic flow easier and then create custom ones like your existing ones.  I doubt that it will be a one size fits both which is why Prusa have separated them into their own category.

To copy filament profiles in PrusaSlicer for your MK4 Input Shaper printer, create custom profiles based on existing IS profiles due to potential differences.
