Prusa Slicer and USB
I print from Cura 4.13.1 and other Cura's before and have always printed directly from my laptop to my printer, I downloaded and installed Prusa Slicer today, can Prusa Slicer print directly from my laptop to my printer via USB?
RE: Prusa Slicer and USB
Simple answer is no.
Longer answer is it will send to a print server like Octoprint or Repetier. You can install Repetier on any pc and then send to that. Theres contention about printing from USB, some, including it seems prusa dont view a laptop as a suitable print server as things like windows update etc can cause issues. So they stripped out direct USB printing when they forked it off to be Prusa Slicer and redid everything for the language they were using.
Theres a whole thread on the PS github about it if you want to dive into the history around the decision. https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/2046
Whatever, the reality is that PS only supports sending to a print server now.

Potentially risky, if laptop stops or hibernates etc. your print will fail.
