prusa slicer and gcode have now the same icon
Hi, I had before following situation: .gcode had his own ikon (white icon without any assignement to a program). Due probably to a wrong manipulation the .gcode icon is now the same then the icon of prusa slicer. It's now difficult to distinguish the .3mf and . gcode because they have the same icon. What can I do? Thanks for help.

What operating system ? If windows you can easily assign the default program for file types. Or remove it. Many instructions on on how to do that. SDearch google for associating file types to programs.

Thank you Neophyl, Yes I have windows. You say: I can easily assign the default program for file types. Or remove it. But I'didnt find how to remove it. When I click on properties, open with, I can just choose another program with his icon but not remove the icon.
RE: prusa slicer and gcode have now the same icon
There are literally hundreds of google links on how to do this sort of thing.
For example this site https://techcult.com/how-to-remove-file-type-associations-in-windows-10/ has 10 ways to do it.
Or https://www.thewindowsclub.com/change-file-associations-windows or https://www.technewstoday.com/remove-file-association-windows/
The list goes on and on.
As gcode is just a text file you could change its association to a text editor like notepad or notepad++ for example. That would change its icon. That's the simplest way to stop it being associated with Prusa Slicer. Depends what your end goal is.
ps 'windows' is not specific enough as there are differences to get things done between windows 10 or 11, or hell you could even still be running windows xp if you were old school or insane lol.
RE: prusa slicer and gcode have now the same icon
Thanks, I use windows 10, What I wont is not to reassociate .gcode to another program but no association to any program at all. What I had before
RE: prusa slicer and gcode have now the same icon
those links contain instructions to do so, but you will need to edit the registry.
