Printing non existing Elements

Hello,

my latest prints include some "random elements" (I don't know how to name it) which I can't see in the slicer.

The pictures should describe it best. The green/pink marked things. I'm not sure at which layer the green stuff started, but the pink ones were extrusions into the air at layer 18, which should not happen.

gcode_and_3mf
I've sliced the model two times with different settings and also checked with the gcode viewer but I can't see why this is happening.

I couldn't find anything in this forum (or in the web via search engines), but perhaps I just don't know the name of this error.

I would be happy if someone could help me.

Slicer Version: PrusaSlicer-2.8.1+linux-x64-GTK3-202409181354

I'm using a Voron 2.4 350mm with mostly default Klippain configuration  ... & ... (after I've put an acrylic sheet in it which covers the gap)

This would have been useful info in the original post.

Where you have amended layer heights the support and structure layers go out of sync so the layer number at your pause is 30 - 30 interleaved layers; but if you disable support and don't count the interleavings the layer number at your pause is 18.  I don't know the Voron or how it reports layers but I suspect your issue relates somehow to this.

Which printer are you using - it's not obvious as this is some klipper based homebrew configuration ...

However, your main problem is with the original design; there is an unsupported 1.8mm horizontal gap in the whole of the central structure.

As you are prrinting most of the part in mid air deposited filament has nowhere to anchor.

Cheerio,

I'm using a Voron 2.4 350mm with mostly default Klippain configuration. I've used this printer and also the same Slicer version/configuration a lot and did not change the printer configuration. I have no idea why it happens and probably it's something stupid on my side. But I thought I should be able to see the problem in the slicer/gcode viewer as the printer should not add movement/extrusion itself into a gcode.

That's no problem, this is intended. But as I wrote, this strange thing happens at layer 18, the bridging over the gap should start at layer 30 (after I've put an acrylic sheet in it which covers the gap).

That's correct. I'm sorry.

This is the "issue". It is something stupid on my side 🙁
The printer just doesn't pause and the klipper/prusaslicer layers differ. I have to check why the pause doesn't happen.

I even measured the height of the part when it "failed" to be sure it's not just skipping the pause. But I got it wrong in my head and didn't notice it was the height were it should pause.

I'm very grateful for your help!
