Printer stops printing and retracts filament

I have been using PrusaSlicer for a small couple of projects on my Ender-v3 KE and it initially made a very good job. I like the clean UI and the slicing.

However the last two trials I had a problem. The first model the printer started as normal and ran for the first couple of layers normal, then it suddenly stopped, went up in the far left back corner and retracted the filament and then just did nothing.

The same happend now with another project but directly after calibration.

I sliced the same model with the Creality Slicer and printing worked without any issues, so I have to assume that something is wrong with PrusaSlicer or its setup.

As I am rather new on 3D printing I have no clue on where to start. Anyone any idea what may be wrong or how to debug?

Alec

RE:

Hey man,

I only had my MK4s for almost a year, so I'm not sure it might be the same case, but... In Prusa Slicer you can trigger a filament/color change if you click  on the sliced vertical bar on the right. Usually, the bar would also have a color change as well.

A color change makes the printer print up to a specific layer, then park the print head and retract the filament.

Check this out and see if it's your case: https://help.prusa3d.com/article/color-change_1687

Cheers!
