Print time does not change with speed adjustments

MK3+

PS 2.5

I cannot get my print time to change with speed adjustments. No matter what speed setting I change, the print time never changes by more than 2 minutes. I am using all the default profiles and have tried different models and scales. Is there something overriding it or maybe this is a bug in 2.5? Please help. I need a way to speed up prints. Thanks in advance

You are being limited by the filament settings.  Most people miss them.

Under Filament Settings>Cooling>Cooling thresholds  There's a slow down if layer time is below value and a Min print speed.  Change the Slow down if layer below to something like 5 seconds (or less really) and then change the minimum speed to match your normal outer perimeter speed.  Either of those on their own will kick the speed up to your normal outer perimeter speed but both together cover more possibilities.  That gives a print time of 45 minutes.

Speed changes only have noticeable effects on larger prints.  Small ones do not have long enough moves to accelerate to the higher speeds.

Cheerio,

Can you define small? It doesn't seem to matter what size the model is, the time never changes.

RE: Print time does not change with speed adjustments

If you want help then I’m afraid you are going to have to give us an example project file that you are having the issue with. In PS use file>save project as. That will save a 3mf file. That will contain the models and all the settings you are using as it saves all 3 active profiles. With a project we can slice with exactly the same settings you are using and see what if anything is limiting it.
To attach it to the forum though you need to ZIP it up into an archive or the forum will not accept the file. It’s very limited on the formats it allows here.

Attached is my project. Am I the only one who changes print speeds to change print times? Am I the only one with this issue? This model used to print a little under an hour, I can't get anywhere close to that now. This issue transcends the model, project, scale, etc so I am thinking it must be a bug or some new setting buried deep. Thanks for all the help.
