SOLVED: @snuffleupagus - just figured it out. The handle is key! I added it in as per the video, and all is good.

The handle doesn't have the zeroed out layers and perimeters, therefore actually prints. As it is part of the boolean "blocking" cylinder object, the "ERROR: The is an object with no extrusions in the first layer. " doesn't occur, and I can export the gcode.

Thanks for your help! 🙂

To be clear, you can right-click on the object, Add part -> Gallery -> helper_disk.stl

This adds a mouse ear to your part. It becomes part of the object you are printing so there are no issues with g-code collision.

RE:

Try using the Add Media button, (if Browse to attach isn't working) then drag and drop your Zipped files into the resulting window. select the files in that window that you want to link, they will be the ones with the check mark next to them.

Also Zipping the files up in .zip format is required by the prusa forums, otherwise the forum server just wont post it. it will let you go through the process but the files wont link, without being zipped.

Hopefully that will do the trick. Ill check back to see how its going.

your welcome  glad you got it  : )

Hi - I won't clog up the thread with trying to upload the files, seeing as I already figured it out, with your pointers!

Thanks for all your help. Still have to investigate the bunny ears thing 🙂

Hey @hyiger - thanks for the tip. Worked well. The "Add part -> Gallery -> helper_disk.stl" is a bit easier than adding the "Handle" cylinder manually, and then resizing etc. it as per the video.

Hey @hyiger - so now thinking - the helper disk is 15x15 mm. Is there a way of adding smaller helpers?

They seem to be stored in C:\Program Files\Prusa3D\PrusaSlicer\resources\shapes, but I tried adding a 2x2mm STL there, and is still came up as 15x15 when added into a project. I did that thru an STL scale/export on slicer, so doesn't seem like the correct method to do that..

Thanks,
