Painting supports when face somewhat hidden
In the image below is a table on a floor. The floor prevents me from painting on a support strip on the underside of the table.. (Here it might span fine, but am asking for situations that I might run into that might be similar). I had an epiphany that I could submerge the model to access the underneath.. but when I move the model down to reveal the table underside, the model pops back to the surface. Anyone know how to access such an area to paint a strip of support?
RE: Painting supports when face somewhat hidden
Think I solved it.. "clipping plane"..

Yep the clipping tool.

yes.. just used it.. what a great tool.. the paint-on supports.. the more I use Prusa Slicer the more I love it.. I just used Cura briefly for a project because I had to use an Ultimaker .. not a fan

Have you tried the smart fill brush option. It’s really good. Once you get used to how the tools work it’s really easy to define areas. I pretty much just use for support enforcers only and painted on areas now when doing supports.

no.. I'll do some reading and tinkering with it.. thanks.. yes.. I almost never use the auto supports.. just snug fit and paint on..
