Overlapping Mating Surfaces in Cut Function?

How would you cut this?

I would love to see an "overlap mode" for Prusaslicer's cut function so that narrow interfaces between two parts could be glued together.

Attached is a small shelf I'd love to print on my Mk3S+ but I don't think pins/dowels would work as well as an interface that was slotted or just overlapped for better gluing.

I have also attached a simple drawing of what an overlap interface might look like.

Here's a link to the stl:

Sorry but we don't do links that require you to sign up to see the files.  If you want to attach a file then zip it up and use the attach file or the add media buttons.
Or sign up for thingiverse or printables yourself and upload a stl so anyone can download it.

If I wanted to do a cut exactly as you pictured then like most of the cuts I made I would do that in my cad software.  However thats not really a god join.  Id do a tenon join version, which can actually be done using the current Cut tool in PS.

For example -

Or I would use a sloping dovetail adjusted to suit the parts I was joining.  That way there would be a physical interlock as well.  Look at Tom's video

I like it!  Thanks for the advice.

Attached is what I'll be printing... someday it would be nice to see a method to carve this dovetail into the profile of the model interface instead of just one dovetail straight across, although I think this is great feature already.

Also attached a copy of the stl so you can see what I'm trying to print on my Mk3S+...

I've got to ask, why are you cutting up something that is only 12mm in its largest axis ? Just print it whole.  Unless you have the worlds tiniest printer lol.

You can only attach one file at a time using attach, but you can link multiples using Add Media.
