Organic Supports in Mid Air

So I'm trying to print out a bracket to replace the broken one on my son's headlamp.  I modeled it up this morning, sliced it with organic supports and hit print.  15 minutes later my son tells me I need to look at it, something's gone wrong!

Oh, I did attach the project file as a zip file, btw... so you can take a gander yourself! Headlamp_Bracket

Note, I'm running Prusa Slicer 2.9.4, if that makes any difference.

One thing I did notice is if I get rid of the organic supports, it works just great.  But as is, it puts down a nice bed layer... and then from layer 2 through 8, it creates external tree supports... and at layer 9, it tries to create new trees... in mid air.  Needless to say, that isn't working out too well.  I can't figure out what settings I may have missed to fix this.  Any suggestions?

RE: Organic Supports in Mid Air

Hiya.  Welcome.  First of all this is a user to user forum.  We can provide general help and advice.  However bug reports should not be made here as Prusa do not  monitor here.

However what you report is a known issue that has been broken ever since organic tree supports were added.  For example https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/9601   which I think is the currently open one as many many have been closed as duplicates.

btw the Prusa github is the official place to report any issues.  Although if you do make use of it then please do search for existing open and closed issues with as many relevant keywords as you can think of.  There are currently 5000 open issues so keeping the number of duplicates down is important.
