Organic support perimeter value

I have a 0.4mm nozzle but print with 0.6mm layer/extrusion width (not height). I use 2 perimeters for my print but the drawback is that organic supports are thicker because they are printed at 0.6 and I believe they also use 2 perimeters.  Could there be a setting to define the perimeter value as well as the extrusion width, for example to go to 0.4mm for supports?

RE: Organic support perimeter value

There already is a setting.  Under print Settings>Advanced>Extrusion Width>Support Material  That defines the thickness for the extrusion used for supports.  I just tried a test print in 2.6a6 with extrusion widths as 0.6 for all the object settings and 0.35 for supports and it generated the organic supports at 0.35.

At the moment the number of perimeters used for organic supports is not configurable, it uses whatever the hell the algorithm thinks it needs and is not tied to the number of perimeters used for the objects.

Thank you for your answer. I guess on the prints I tried it went a bit too far. The upside is they print stable but are a bit difficult to brake off.

RE: Organic support perimeter value

Then you need to adjust other support settings such as contact distance, xy seperation, tip size, interface layers etc to find what will work for your materials and print setup.  There are many support settings for classic and snug and even more extra ones for organic now but most/all of the older support settings can also have an effect on the organic supports too.
