RE: order of printing multiple items

This is a new feature introduced in PS 2.2.0-alpha2.

Pressing E in the view will display labels to better locate objects.

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉

RE: order of printing multiple items

This is a little bit off-topic, but I was wondering if there is some way to set up the printing of a single object so that one can choose to avoid crossing perimeters from a certain layer on, so that it first prints one part and then moves down and prints the other part of the object (as long as it does not violate the extruder clearance area of course). The reason is that unfortunately the "Avoid crossing perimeters" option does not work when layer have isles which sucks when you print with flexible filament.

Actually the option would be called something like "Print isles of single object individually."

This is not true as I have just tried by adding a second object then dragging it to the top of the list in the right side pane yet it still first prints the object that is listed second.

I also just added the object i wanted to print first then added the second object but strangely enough it still printed the second object first. The only physical difference is the second object is larger so maybe that is what is driving it to be printed first every time?

@michael-j37 and @michael-j37

I found it only works if you are using the "complete individual objects". Anyone know if there's a way to pick the printing sequence after using the "Arrange" button?

My Experience (May 2021) is that it prints closest to the intro line first now in PS 2.3. So arrange your parts closer/further away from that. I think it is just trying to minimise travel distance.

RE: order of printing multiple items

Hello, Up tu this issue.

I have a problem with my prints, which is leaving a clump of filament or burnt area when doing the color change. and I think that if I could rearrange the order in which Prusa slicer considers the pieces on the print bed, I could put a cylinder that would be the first thing to print after the color change. The fact is that the cylinder is not necessarily the first thing that prints when changing the color and my solution is no longer valid, not even to test it.Has anyone been able to see how the pieces are organized in a printing order.greetings

I'm able to drag the parts around to different bed positions and they will still print in the order they were loaded. I've attached a 3MF project file with this example.
