Octoprint on new Slicer Install

I am passing on my mini to a friend.  It is set up with a pi running octoprint and i drive it from the current prusa slicer on windows and he uses a mac.

I will change to his wifi credentials using the SD card before I bring it over and get him to install the slicer on his mac but i can't find current instructions for connecting the slicer to octoprint.  I don't really remember doing it on windows and it looks like everything has changed anyway.

where do i look?

RE: Octoprint on new Slicer Install

I am on Linux and I am using a different printer, but the process should be about the same, just replace with your printer type/name. Create a new physical printer by clicking on the cog icon next to your printer.

Then fill out the form with the IP of your printer, select "OctoPrint" as type.

The "Password" in this form is the API key from OctoPrint. Open the OctoPrint web UI.

Sorry for the dialog in German but it should be obvious. 🙂
Select "Application Keys".

Create an new Application Key, copy it to the clipboard and save the setting in the UI. Then go back to the dialog form in PrusaSlicer and enter the copied API Key into the field "Password". Then click on "Test". If everything is fine you should get some success message. Then save the dialog in PrusaSlicer and your physical printer is functional.
