Normal infill mode to vase mode is there a way
I’m trying to convert a design from S3D to Prusa Slicer and running into a problem. The design started printing in normal infill and then switches to vase mode. I tried to use the modifiers but I do not see an option to switch to vase mode. I can switch to 1 perimeter and zero infill but that will leave a seam. If I try to start in vase mode and then switch the modifiers will not let me change. Not sure if I’m missing something, any help would be appreciated.

FYI - I found a workaround, I increase the bottom layers. Not a perfect as you get completely solid. But 26 layers did the trick for me. My figure is 150 mm high and has plug at the bottom that is about 5 mm high and needs to be stronger. So not a major penalty having a solid base versus 20%.

Pretty sure vase mode is 100%, or not available in Prusa's Slicer. The option is to use the modifier to go from X perimeters with infill to 1 perimeter with 0 infill - and as you have discerned, there will be a seam. You might try randomizing the seam to make it less visible. A well calibrated printer does a fair job in that case. Not vase quality, but it can get close. Or bury the seam at the rear.
ps: or keep it in Simplify and use that gcode.

There is always casting resin to weight the base. But if a solid print works, it is quick and easy. Cheers!

You you could add some clay.

When replying to a thread - PLEASE - reply to the correct party. I hate getting emails when I've unsubscribed to a thread.

You could add clay to the base to add weight.
