New to 3D printing - Trying to setup Prusa Slicer on my Mac

Hi all, I think I need a little hand holding here. I just got my first 3D printer a few days ago. Sorry, it's not a Prusa, it's an Ender 3 S1 Pro. Hope I can still post here.

I downloaded the Mac version 2.4.2 and I did not see anything for my Ender 3 S1 Pro, so I chose Ender 3 V2. I was reading that I need to make some changes to it for it to work right but I don't understand what to do. I think I need to change the bed size and maybe the extruder settings or something? I don't want to mess anything up. I am in the "Printer Settings" tab at the top and I don't see anything to change nor do I know what to change it to even if I found the place to change it! I would love some very basic help in setting this up for my printer to get me in a good place to start. I mean like "Click on the 'XXX' button then type '123' into this text box" sort of help. Did I choose the right printer settings to start with? Is there a way to install actual Ender 3 S1 Pro settings?

As an aside, I first downloaded the Creality slicer and used that to print a fairly stringy Benchy and a pretty decent radius gauge from Thingiverse. But I hear people say the Creality slicer isn't great and I thought I might as well start with something better. Prusa Slicer seems like the way to go.

Thanks for the help

Sorry you’re not finding the answers you need here. I’m looking at the ‘Add New Printer’ tab in PS on my Mac and when I click on Creality the first option is the ‘Creality Ender-3’ and then several other E3 flavors.

You maybe able to start with one of them and then tweak for your actual build dimensions but I am unfamiliar with Ender and don’t want to give you bad advice here.

I think this is less a direct Mac or PS question and more a Creality question. Maybe try one of their forums? I’m sure there are Ender users of PrusaSlicer.

Good luck.

Thanks Randy, I'll head to reddit and see if I can find anything.
