RE: Need help dialing in Prusa for Ender V2 Neo

The project I posted was with the default v2 neo Printer Profile yes.

I decided to open the 3mf file in Notepad ++ to see if I can view the data and found that I'm probably the only person on this forum that didn't know this is a zip file.

Now that I found this information is there a way I can import this data as a profile to test it out with out plugging in each number one at a time?

FWIW, I looked at the all the Creality/Ender presets and none of them compare Neophyl's Test-Disk-B_neo.3mf

Ron what are you trying to do ?  I presume you managed to load in the 3mf project I posted ?  If so then the profiles are there, if you want to save them you can click on the save icon next to each and that will save them to your system permanently (well until you manually delete them).

Are you also using the built in profile compare tool ?

Which when clicked opens up a comparison window

You can also use that to copy settings from one profile to another.

You can install a bunch of printers and compare them that way.

When I load your 3mf file in PS my settings are applied which are totally different than what I see viewing the data from your file. I was hoping there is a simple way to move the data from the attached file below into PS without plugging in each number one at a time

RE:

How are you loading it ?  As 3mf projects contain profile data and 'some' people hated that (they kept accidentally over writing settings they had modified)  you have to use File>Open and select the 3mf.  If you use the same Add object like you do with an stl it will only load in the model/object data and not the profiles.  That change was made as a concession to people with bad memories who didnt want to learn how it worked.  Basically there's loads of different ways to do things.

Alternatively you can also have a bunch of objects etc on the Plater and then Use File>Import>Import Config from Project.  That loads in the profile data from a saved project but keeps all your models/objects/modifiers in place.  Its a very useful thing if you get into the habit/workflow of saving everything you slice as a project.  You can just go "Oh I want to use the settings I used on X" and then import those settings from your previously saved project.

Btw there is a knowledge base article on the compare presets function https://help.prusa3d.com/article/compare-presets_301482

The article on presets https://help.prusa3d.com/article/how-to-import-and-export-custom-profiles-in-prusaslicer_382766

To load that file you attached, remove the text ending and change to type .ini and then use import config.  That will load it but you will still have to save them individually if you want to keep them as part of your collection.

Pretty Much normal

Also, I did use that compare feature in PS and that's where I found out nothing is different?

I'll read those links you provided continue from there, Thanks

RE:

Yeah if you load a 3mf using that add button it strips off all the profile data which is why its no different.  Use File>Open .  Add, well that just adds the contents to your current file, open is you are opening the original project and so getting all the data.
