Multiple printers with different materials
I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or if this is just missing.
We have 2 Prusa XL 5-tool printers and both printers have different materials loaded.
The problem is that when I switch in PrusaSlicer between those printers, the filaments in the extruders are not changed with the printer.
Let's say I have printer 1 selected with PLA and PETG in the extruders. As soon as I now select printer 2, which uses ABS and some other filaments, I have to manually change the filament types in the extruders.
This makes it very hard for me to use PrusaSlicer for both printers since I have different jobs requiring different materials that are loaded in both machines
So I am looking for a way to get PrusaSlicer to lock the filaments to a physical printer. Is this possible ?
Having 2 different instances of PrusaSlicer would also be an option (although not ideal) but of course only if both instances have their own physical printer and filaments in the different extruders.

One way to do this is to set things up for printer A, save the config as a 3mf project file, then do the same for printer B. For future print jobs, just start with one of those template projects. I don't see another way to tie a specific filament to a specific extruder, but I'd be very happy to stand corrected.

Thanks,
save the config as a 3mf project file
why did I not think of this myself 😕
Export Config and Import Config works even nicer. If I started with the wrong printer, I can simply import the config for the correct printer and everything is setup the way it should be.
