Multicolour prints without MMU Nozzle Prime issue

I don’t have an mmu2s yet but in the mean time I’ve been multi colour printing with no mmu, one problem I have come across.... after filament change the extruder moves over a previous colour and drop a spot of filament. Sort of primes the nozzle, this is not needed as I've set prusaslicer to print each colour onto the skirt. This is a problem if I have a white layer then a dark colour is printed onto that. Any ideas how to stop this spot prime ? Thanks

Pretty print regardless.  Not sure there is a solution.

@joantabb came up with a workaround for this issue in another thread:

Hth, Cheerio,

Thanks, these were the instructions I used to begin with. I ended up using these instructions, you need to import his config file to see the settings he used. I use a wipe tower, not sure why he didn’t because you need to purge the filament. This way was the only method I could find to use different filaments in one print so to change temperatures and other filament settings . I think the key is to check box the Single Extruder MM setup the set everything to 0 (zero). Works a treat apart from getting your head round saving filaments and saving them!

@nickrno77

In a manual colour change, if the filament is not sufficiently purged just click no when the printer asks if the colour is correct yet.  You can purge several times if needed.

Mostly this matters only when changing from a dark filament to a very pale one.
