Multicolor painting/slicing

I'm using Prusaslicer with my new Mosaic Palette 3 and I am quite happy with this machine. I'm getting slicing artifacts that I would rather avoid. I am making a point of designing low poly models that will paint with nice clean edges. But with the slicing I am getting some artifacts that appear to be coming from the colors on the infill. Is there a way can I get this to slice cleaner?

I model and paint this:

Which slices as this:

And prints as this:

RE: Multicolor painting/slicing

From my understanding of how it works, the painted areas in effect split the model up into different objects.  Just like the other modifiers do.  I opened your 3mf up in blender and you have over 700 intersecting faces (mainly from where you added the cylinder) but you also have over 300 zero faces.  These are spread all over the place, mainly on the 'crease' areas.  I suspect they are contributing to this as the faces wont be processed properly so the painted areas either extend further or stop short of where you expect .  Unfortunately I don't know of a tool that can repair these automatically.

I also suspect the multi material painting could do with some improvement, there are a couple of github issues already opened to that effect.
