Modifier with Fuzzy Skin

Hello everyone,

I got some success with Fuzzy recently but cannot get to slice this model correctly: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4765663

What I am trying is to get the Fuzzy skin outside only but since there is an opening it goes inside as well. After some poor results with many modifiers everywhere I tried another approach by importing the stl as a modifier and reducing the size a tiny bit.

First try was with this (Fuzzy skin with smaller than 0.2, like 0.05, is beautiful but crashes the Pinda on it because it creates some thickness (layers are more than 0.2 high with the accumulation of material):

Here are some results I got with different sizes for the modifier (problems highlighted in red):

Tried with percentage or x/y/z sizes but I have never been able to get it correct everywhere. Always Fuzziness "inside" walls or printed in the middle of nowhere ("in the air") around holes.

The best I got was this but the Fuzziness inside the walls (bottom right picture) is problematic for adhesion (I have tried):

So I changed the strategy and set the Fuzziness to none globally, added a modifier a tiny bit larger and set the Fuzziness on the modifier:

It's quite better overall unless for the pyramids that got Fuzziness "inside". So I added another modifier to set the Fuzziness to 0 around the pyramids. Since it's a square, the added perimeter wall of the modifier would not hurt I thought (never understood why modifiers add perimeters by the way. Should't it be boolean operation to know where to apply the modification of the parameters?):

The Fuzziness is almost perfect everywhere. But... it creates absolut garbage around the perimeter added by the modifier box itself... You will find attached the 3mf if you want to have a look at this version (edit: cannot add files to topic, here is the file on OneDrive: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Al5n-JbqURdKg4hpD3PobhRrsI00rA)

Since there is no way to paint like seams the Fuzziness, I am not sure how I should use it to paint the outside walls. Some good friend suggested that I might create some paint with different extruders and try to set the same ID for both extruders and  set the fuzziness on for only the outside paint but it seems that it's a far fetched approach, the first blocker being the Fuzziness is global and not per extruder.

Any idea how I should slice this model to get the outside only fuzzy?

Thank you!

Rémi
