modifier to remove brim?
Hello All,
I have not been long at 3D printing, but I am learning and enjoying the experience.
However, because I have not been long at it I am worried that an issue I 'think' I am having, is not actually an 'issue', and it was never actually possible.
I have just upgarded prusaslicer to 2.9.3
I have a model that I need to have a brim on a single part of it. I activated 'brims' then went to apply a modifier to remove brims from the other area of the model that touch the build plate.
However, I don't have an option to a anything 'brim related' in the 'Add setting' drop down menu (expert mode)!
I could have sworn this was availbale in 2.9.2?!?!
Am I going mad, and this was never there (if so how can I add a brim to only a specific part?) or has this option been move from the pull down menu?
Thank you all

Cheerio,
RE: modifier to remove brim?
Short answer for 2.9.3, it is the same as before. Select the object, right mouse button, Add Settings, then Skirt and Brim. Select the brim width, then set it to 0 to disable the brim. I turn the brim on and then set the brim width to 0 for the parts I don't want a brim on. For brim on specific areas of a part, see the long discussion.
RE: modifier to remove brim?
Thank you Vhubbard.
It was then me going mad. You never could adjust brim setting via a modifier, it was also accessed by directly assigning a setting to the actaul model.
It's comforting to know that it's ME being stupid... not the software ( which is the natural order of things!)
Thank you
RE: modifier to remove brim?
Interesting idea Diem.
in this particular instance my issue was no so cruical as to warrent any custom build, but it is something to make a mental note of for any future scenarios.
toodle-pip.

@kieran
These are considered advanced techniques, however they are in my opinion explained fairly well, and may be of some use to you.
And
Good Luck to you.
