Model disappears from screen after slicing
Hi,
I'm pretty new to all this, just got my Mini+ a couple of days ago. All good, but sometimes once I've sliced the model, it disappears from the screen, so I cant see the image showing supports etc. I can just see the representation of an empty build plate.
I'm running PrusaSlicer 2.3.0 on MacOS.
Thanks
Paul
RE: Model disappears from screen after slicing
The main screen , the plater/plate as its called has 2 modes. When you first start Prusa Slicer you are in Edit mode. In this mode your models are visible and you can edit the placement, cut and scale etc. When you slice though the view changes to Preview mode. In this mode none of the edit tools on the left are available and you see a preview of all the layers that will be printed that you can scroll through to check for any issues.
When you update ANY setting though that requires a reslice the preview is cleared as the preview is no longer valid. However this does NOT change the view back to the Edit mode. As such it can look like you have an empty plater. Its not though, the model(s) are still there. You can change back to edit view using the icon or if you reslice the preview will reappear with the results of your current settings.
The basics of Prusa Slicer is available online here ay the knowledge base https://help.prusa3d.com/en/category/prusaslicer_204
The UI specific one is here https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/ui-overview_1766 , item 10 on the picture key for the plater modes.
