Maximum volumetric speed not fully respected

Hi,

I'm setting the max volumetric speed in the filament settings but noticed that the cap wasn't totally respected, as some items get printed at a slightly higher flow rate. Is that normal? How do you explain it?

Thanks!

With your project loaded into 2.6 beta 4 and sliced as it comes, the key is showing a max of 12.840 for me.

Changing from Arachne to Classic and slicing the key goes to a max of 12.050.  So I would have to conclude that when using Arachne there's probably some wiggle room in whatever algorithm they are using to adjust flow for its variable width. Not enough to really worry about though.

With your project loaded into 2.5.1 the key goes up to 22.070 for me but none of the colour coding for volumetric gets anywhere near that in the preview and is 12 or below, at least as much as you can tell with the colour coding Prusa uses.  Then again there were several issues raised around the range the key data uses on several items so that did get all changed in the 2.6 releases.

Without your project its impossible to know.  Is your custom gcode like the prime line if you have one pushing the value needed for the key up for example ?
What version of the software are you using ?  Basic information required for any sort of debugging.

Interesting, thanks for looking all of that up. I do use 2.5.2, so maybe things will change in 2.6.

Disable auto cooling in Filament Settings/Cooling
