Make interface filament for support the same as the supported surface in multicolor prints.

Dear Friends

Having my MMU2s up and running reliably I do quite a lot of multicolor prints. However, one problem remains. Whenever I need supports, PrusaSlicer doesn't pay attention to which filament it is using to print the interface layer to the supported surface. Hence it is using a random one, leaving the supported surface marred with another color after supports are removed. Shouldn't it always use the same filament for interface and supported surface? Or at least let me define the filament for supports to minimize the problem?

Am I missing something here? There seems to be a lack of similar topics or feature requests? Please show me the way!

Cheers singultus

Have you set Print Settings > Multiple Extruders > Support material/raft/skirt extruder ?

If left at 0 then whatever is currently loaded is used - probably your case.

Cheerio,

Awesome, wasn't aware of that setting. Especially the setting below "Support material/raft interface extruder" looks promising. As far as I see this only serves to define one filament to be used as interface material. This way we can define the filament which will fit most supported surfaces in a print. However, a dynamic selection based on the filament of the interface that will be supported would be better.

Hmm, changing either of these settings automatically disables the whole wipe tower. There is a pop up with the information that a non-zero parameter and the wipe tower are mutually exclusive. These settings seems only to be relevant for soluble supports.
