Machine Profile creation in Prusa Slicer - Primer available?

Hello,

I have been using Prusa Slicer 2.4.0 since I received my Mini+ in early January. After assembling the printer and running enough prints to figure out how it worked, I came across an article and video on the Prusa site about changing nozzle sizes. I decided that sounded really cool, since some of my prints are "large" (I realize a mini is a small printer) so I ordered an assortment of nozzles from Prusa. I found the profile management in Slicer and loaded the profiles for .6 and .8 nozzles, but there is not a profile for a 1.0 nozzle or a .25 nozzle. I did a little research and found some general parameters for setting a new profile up with a different size nozzle, and set up the .25, which works, but I'm not convinced that it works as well as it could. I also recently purchased a larger printer (Ender 5 Plus) and notice there IS a profile in Slicer for that printer. I also have a wide selection of nozzles for it, and was a little surprised at how limited the current profile is for the 5 Plus. This brings me to my question:

Is there a place available where there is a primer on profile creation? Is there a place with profiles not available in the manager within Slicer? If I create profiles I'm happy enough with that I think others might want to use them, is there a way to submit them to the Slicer team/community so that they can be included in the manager?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you - that's much better than the scattered information I've found so far. I'll use that to go through some of my profiles and see how they stand up.

I've created printer profiles for a variety of nozzles for the Mk3, from 0.15 to 1.2mm. So far as printer settings, you mostly need to worry about setting the nozzle diameter, minimum and maximum layer heights under Printer Settings->Extruder 1.

Depending on the specific nozzle, you might want to tweak speeds and layer heights. Keep layer height < 80% of your extrusion width for best results.

If I create profiles I'm happy enough with that I think others might want to use them, is there a way to submit them to the Slicer team/community so that they can be included in the manager?

I'm not sure what the official submission process is, but they're pretty happy with their Mk3 settings I think. There are plenty of user custom profiles available (mine are here) if you care to share.
