Lots of problems first layer: scratches, small blank areas, etc.

Hi, I don't know why but I have a lot of problems in the first layer when I have to print this box. It is important that the quality will be very good but as it has so many details, it is very easily that there is a tiny problem and then it doesn't look like a good printed object. I clean the bed very carefuly before I start printing and I printed a temperature tower.

Print settings: 0.20mm, infill 15%, nozzle 215C, bed 60C (link to the STL file)

What can I do? Thank you very much!

Despite your cleaning some of those look like fingerprints and there may be some incipient warping.  Clean with dishwashing detergent.

You might try increasing the first layer temperature by another 5 degrees and protect the print from drafts.

If you still have problems show us a first layer 'Z' calibration *on the print sheet* ...

Cheerio,

Hi @diem thank you for your interest and tips. I use to clean the bed with isopropyl alcohol. Some questions:

1) What do you mean with "protect the print with drafts"?

2) I don´t know what is and how to do a Z calibration *on the print sheet*

The generally accepted cleaning routine on these fora is:

Clean with IPA between prints.

At the first hint of a problem, use dishwashing detergent and HOT water.

If that's not enough use acetone: once or twice a year at most.

There are signs of incipient warping, often caused by uneven cooling.  Protect the printer from uncontrolled cooling air from open doors and windows.

You don't say which printer you have but if it's a Prusa there is a first layer entry under calibration in your LCD menu.  If another machine print a single layer rectangle and show us that.

Cheerio,
