Is there an easy way to export a complete configuration bundle with filaments and physical printers for another user?

Hi there,

I've run into an interesting problem with Prusaslicer.

I have a small print farm with a number of users, connected to a Repetier Server setup.  My question is, is there an easy way to export my entire config (Printers, Filaments, and Physical Printers) into a single package that I can quickly replicate in a "clean install" on another user's Prusaslicer?

"Import Config Bundle" kinda works, but it doesn't include the stock Prusa MK3S that you would normally select in the configuration wizard.  Yes, I could have users go in and manually select these things, but I'm trying to remove as much user error as possible.

"Configuration Snapshots" kinda works, but it doesn't include the filament profiles that were selected from the configuration wizard.  This causes a "default" filament profile to be loaded, and causes a plastic blob on the hotend.

What I'm doing currently is side-loading a zip of "snapshots" folder into the configuration folder with a single good configuration snapshot inside of it, as well as a copy of "Prusaslicer.ini" to set up defaults, and a copy of "vendor" folder for a configuration from another style of machine.

To reiterate, my current solution doesn't reliably import the preselected filament profiles (seems to be different with users who already have a functioning copy of Prusaslicer, vs users who are performing a clean install).

Any thoughts?

Yes.  you can basically copy the entire configuration folder.  You can use Help>Show Configuration folder to see where it is on your system then make a copy and replace the one on the other machine.  Of course make sure you are running the same versions on both.

Exporting a configuration bundle is a 'safer' way to do so but as you point out you have to run through the wizard to get the system ones.  One of the reasons I don't use stock profiles any more.  I made my own copies years ago.  That way an install on a new machine gets all the ones I use as they are all custom.
Means that when Prusa pushes out changes I don't get them automatically.  But I prefer to manually check everything changed and make my own decisions on if I want to incorporate it into my profiles after I have tested it on my machines.

One caveat is thats with 2.7.x, I see they have changed the vendor profiles in 2.8 so I dont know if that will impact anything.
