Is there a way to save object manipulation settings

I'm in the process of  refining  the design of a part. The changes are internal and don't change the overall size of  the object. I need to use object modifiers to get the result I need. After exporting the design from Fusion 360 to PrusaSlicer it takes a long time to recreate the object modifiers section.

Is there a way to save them and load for the new design?

Is another way to apply them to the new part like cutting and pasting the part into a session that has the modifiers already loaded then deleting the old part that was originallly there?

You can use the Reload from disc option (right click on the object).  Or even replace with depending on what you are doing.  That should preserve any modifiers and also any rotations or part movement you may have done.

It will NOT preserve anything like painted on areas or if you have Cut the object up.  As soon as you reload then any painting is reset.  My workflow is to refine in CAD and use reload then study the slice etc and refine.  Only once I am satisfied do I then paint on seams ad support enforcers.  Basically last stage.

You can copy a modifier from one part to another using cntrl+c/cntrl+V but its not guaranteed to preserve its placement relative to the object.  Which is why the reload from disc is better if you are updating a specific part in cad and loading it in again in PS.

The copy/paste technique is used by some of us to create little 'libraries' of settings that we commonly use.  By creating small no printable objects off plater you can store modifier settings on them and then paste to new objects.  As you can save a project with these pre existing objects you can open one up as a 'new' sort of blank project and all your preferred settings are there.

RE:

Save the project as a 3mf, then when you have a new version of the model you can right-click on the part, either in the main window or in the panel on the right, and either 'reload from disk' (if the new part has the same path and name as the previous one) or 'Replace with STL' if it's a new filename.  I believe all your modifiers will apply to the new STL.

EDIT: D'Oh - beaten to it by a minute!
