Is there a way to finish one section of a print before beginning the other?
I have a print (one piece, not multiple pieces) that is essentially two tall poles that are 8 inches away from each other and are connected by a base. Once the base is extruded, the extruder does one layer on one pole then goes all the way to the other side of the build plate to do one layer on that pole and keeps traveling back and forth wasting a lot of time. Is there a way to reduce this travel time without breaking up the print into multiple pieces?
RE:
Simple answer is I dont think so. Its one object so it will print it that way, if you have 2 islands at higher layers then it will do them that way. If your islands are small this can actually be beneficial as it allows time for one island to cool before being printed on again.

Oopsy, you said without breaking then into multiple pieces
