How to update from Prusa Slicer 2.2 to 2.3 ...

Hello, when I will install the exe 2.3 (windows 10 64bits), the installation will be done "on top" of my version 2.2? All my settings: printer, printing and filaments will they be kept? Last question, will my .3mf backup files (made with 2.2) be compatible with my new Prusa 2.3. Thank you

When you upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3 all your settings etc should come through fine.

This being real life though it always pays to have a backup.
With 2.2 go to File>Export>Config Bundle.  That will export and save all your CUSTOM (non system) profiles.  For Print, filament and printer.  This config bundle can be imported in on any system later so they are good ways of making backups.  Its what I do regularly and give them a suitable date based name.

Then do the upgrade.  The upgrade will Update all the profiles during the update to add in new settings that didn't exist in the old ones.  If the update proceeds normally then you are set.  If not you always have the config bundle backup..

You could also just copy the entire 2.2 config directory so some other location before updating.

This should be a sticky or posted somewhere in the FAQ.

"Then do the upgrade"

Please explain how to do this.  Thanks
