How to turn off bridging

I am having problems with bridges over small holes up to 8mm in diameter.  When printing in petg with 100% fan and 240 deg I get harp strings across the hole.  Does anybody know how to turn off bridging so the printer just continues to print as if the hole wasnt there?

RE: How to turn off bridging

You can turn detection for Bridging Perimeters off but you can not do the same for bridging infill.  Your only option is to set your bridging fan speed lower too.  You can also up your bridge flow ratio as most default profiles have this lower (like 0.95 or even 0.85 on some of the bigger nozzles) to 'stretch' the filament out a bit as its bridging.  Its why I tend to use Super Slicer if I need more control of a particular print/slice.

If you don't know where those settings are located then use the PS built in search function.

It is possible to stop extrusion of Bridging in slicer, not something I will teach here. however if you post your Zipped up Prusaslicer project .3mf, I will attempt to show you how to avoid this in the areas you want, minus this technique.

I have exactly same issue. My Mini printer actually printed bridging with sparsed lines (you can see through between lines) that ended up looking likes strings.  Please share if you have had solution for this.

RE: How to turn off bridging

Still not had any practical help turning this off. Bridging small holes is the one area of weakness I have found with my Prusa Mk3 and Mk4.  I need to make small round recesses in parts to hold self adhesive feet. However, with the first bridging layer being sparse strings, there is not enough flat area to stick the feet to. I have to flatten the hole with a hot rod in post processing!  With a small round hole approx 8mm I am sure that the printer should be able span the hole with an almost flat surface if it was possible to turn off bridging in such situations.  Could somebody post a way to do this??
