How to specify the exact Fan # for M106

As per the title

I am running R.R.F.

just started trying out Prusa Slicer and with sliced models the G code file is not turning on my part cooling fan if i inspect the sliced g code it shows the command

M106 S255

But that doesnt turn on my part cooling fan, if i manually inject M106 P2 S255 into the g code file then it does turn my part cooling fan on.

is there a way to have the slicer add the actual Fan #

As i received no assistance, I went back to Ideamaker and the problem i was having instantly disappeared.

RE: How to specify the exact Fan # for M106

I know this topic is old and no one has replied to it but I'm in that position now.
I'm using the MKS Robin E3D v1.1 board. I'm able to control 3 fans individually but one of them NEEDS to be tagged as P1.
I know I can edit the G-Code file but I rather have it done automatically.
The OP moved to the IdeaMaker since no one answered the question. I don't really want to do the move.

Sorry for the duplicate! The forums software doesn't play nice with me! 🙁

Just add a gcode substitution.  Must be in expert mode , but in Print Settings>Output Options>Other there is gcode substitutions.

You can easily replace all the M106 command with M106 P1 or whatever other string you like.
