how to select the right layer for color change
I created a logo-panel using Freecad and wanted to use two colours on my Prusa CoreOne+. So Imported the stl file into the slicer and went to the layer where I thought the text began to print. The colour change was executed. But unfortunately the complete layer and background where printed in the changed colour. So all has the same colour now... How, to get only the text and in this case also a border in the different colour? In the slicer I found it very hard to see, and decide where to start the colour change? Any advice or "pro" tips how to get this?

Just move the slider up one layer and then do the color change. You don't want the color change to happen on the text outline but on the first layer of the text above the background.
RE: how to select the right layer for color change
Thanks, zoom in a bit further made it more clear for me. So now have to see how this works. Can I also add some code to have the nozzle cleaning first. Before it goes on with the print. Now its purging and than travel to the print, still with some filament on it, which than stick to the print and make it less nice. (have to cancel the door sensor as well 🙂
RE: how to select the right layer for color change
...using only the vertical slider shows the print at the end of the selected layer...using the horizontal slider shows the start of the layer including head movements and gives a better understanding what happens during color/tool change.
...you will find enough info about multi-color/multicolor/manual multicolor with single extruder - you have to select/setup this in the slicer - using the search function of this forum
For the beginning some hints...but you have to try and find your settings:

Yes, I agree...the search function is not easy to use and sometime we don't know which "search words" we should use...above links are results of (google) search "prusa slicer single extruder multi-color" - you can redefine yourself...
