How to save printer settings from PrusaSlicer?
Seems like a dumb question but I can’t find anything to answer this…
I’m trying to modify my retraction settings for my Mk3s+ to minimize stringing and I know where to do it in the Printer Settings section of PSlicer. How do I transfer those settings to the printer itself?
Are those printer settings stored in the Gcode file or do I have to connect the printer to my computer or something else?
Thanks!
RE: How to save printer settings from PrusaSlicer?
The slicer puts the retractions into the Gcode when it is compiled. and the Gcode export takes the retraction information to the printer
You can save the changes at the top of the printer settings window. so that next time you open prusa slicer, you can select your revised retraction setting profile
you need to be in advanced of expert mode!

RE:
None of this information is stored on the printer itself. As Joan explained, it's taken into account by the slicer to generate gcode that is then sent to the printer. Makes much more sense because different filaments may require different settings so this is all controlled at slice time, not through memory on the printer.
