How to remove elephant tool compensation?

I am trying to print the below in vase mode. I still get a layer at the bottom, which I hope I can eliminate from printing, because it requires effort to remove afterwards.

Is it really elephant tool?

I minimized the value of the elephant tool to 0 in the slicer, and this bottom layer still exists.

I also removed brim totally - no effect.

RE:

Do you mean elephants foot setting ?  That is used to counteract the spreading of the perimeters on the first layer due to 'squish'.  It is not designed to remove bottom layers.  If you set Elephants Foot to zero then when printed you will usually get a slight 'lip' of plastic on the bottom layer that is slightly wider than the rest of the layers.

If you want to remove the bottom layers completely then just set Solid Layers >bottom to zero.

What exactly are you trying to achieve ?

I am trying to print this snowflake without the bottom layer, because it is not easy to remove.

Thanks - the  set Solid Layers >bottom to zero solved that part.

The strange problem I got afterwards: 2 filaments colors were working well, yet when I tried printing with white, the first layer was failing to keep attached to the bed. No matter what I tried.

First layer calibration is working well.

The problem with the white filament is always starting at same place: can be seen on left close corner of the snowflake.

This is the starting place. It was worst when the skirt was 3 layers (default), because the head was moving away.

I reduced the skirt to 1 layer. Now it is better because this is vase mode., so the head is moving continuously.

Still there is a small defect there.

Is there a way to solve it?

I was thinking to guide the slicer to start on a different location, perhaps in the middle of one of the straight lines.

ing at same place
