How to create ring in PrusaSlicer?
I needed to print simple ring knowing its inner and outer diameters and thickness. So I guesses why not quickly create in PrusaSlicers.
But I failed. It seems PrusaSlicer can create only solid box, cylinder and sphere.
Or there is away?
RE: How to create ring in PrusaSlicer?
I would use any of the common drafting tools, such as FreeCad. Slic3r and derivatives are not really made for generating objects.

Create a cylinder. Then create a cylinder modifier part attached to the first cylinder that has 0% infill, 0 top layers, 0 bottom layers, and 0 perimeters. It will cut out the original cylinder and make a ring.

@malcmcm
Have you actually tried that when using an initial Add Shape ? Because while that method works with stl files imported into Slicer to add a quick hole it doesnt work when you use Prusa Slicer to Add Shape.
To make it work you have to right click and Add Shape. Size it to what you want and then export it as an stl file. You then have to import that stl back in. From there you can right click on it and select Add Modifier. You then set the modifier to zero top layers, bottom layers , perimeters and infill % That will then cut the modifier out.
Its far far less effort and way more precise to just knock up a ring in any of the modelling software available as Jsw suggested and then import that in.
Yes its possible to do, but Prusa Slicer is a SLICER, its not really designed with modelling in mind. Let it do its job and use the proper tool to model 3d objects.

I tested it before I posted my response. It works, not sure where its going wrong for you
Slicer 2.2.0

I'm not sure why that didnt work when I tried it. All I got was it removed the top layers but the infill and bottom layers were still there.
Just tried it again on my work installation and everything went fine. I think I'm going to backup all my profiles and do a clean install again. I've seen installs go screwy before causing all sorts of weird issues like this.
