How to create a PrusaSlicer profile for a working PrusaMK3 Cura profile

Hi @all,

I have an MK3 Clone working perfectly with Cura 4.6.1 slicer, but I want to migrate to PrusaSlicer. Trying to print the first generated gcode (using a default profile) It starts raising temperatures as specified but when the printing must start I only get a horrible noise and nothing else happens.

Any suggestion?

Regards, Javier

If you're hearing a lot of extruder noise, you may have relative M83 or absolute M82 extruder mode set in your startup gcode improperly. Does the prime line print OK?

Slice the same part in both slicers, save and compare the generated gcode. See if the Cura version has M82 or M83 set before the print starts.

Hi!,

Thanks for your prompt response. About your question, nothing is printed, just the temperature raising and then the noise with no movement.

Regards, Javier.

Update!

I have now created a new PrusaSlicer profile from scratch and my simple object (20x20x5 cube) is printed just fine. But when it starts moving after heating, it goes home and starts making noise until the printing process really starts. It looks like the head is trying to go behind limits....

Any idea?

Regards, Javier.

It would be helpful if you save a project 3MF file off in PrusaSlicer, zip it and upload it here as an attachment so we can see your settings.

Thanks @bobstro for your suggestion. I'm attaching the .3MF PrusaSlicer Project and the generated gcodes from Cura and PrusaSlicer.
