How do you raise the Z offset over the infil areas as my nozzle / extruded plastic seems to catch on these layers?

Can anyone explain how I can prevent the nozzle/ extruded plastic from catching previous layers over infil areas? It only seems to be a problem on the infil!!!

Thanks

Which infill are you using?

I have tried Grid, Rectilinear and Gyroid so far with the better results on gyroid but still not perfect!

RE:

I was having this issue with Triangle and learned that some infills overlap causing part of the line to be higher than the layer the nozzle is laying down so I switched to Gyroid to avoid the nozzle catching.

Maybe you can try a Lift Z of .04? I've used .06 in the past with good results. Just make sure your Filament Overrides isn't forcing it back to .02

Thanks for the info, could you tell me how I can do this ( simple ) task 😊 ?

Would it go back to 0.2 after the infil layer is completed?

Thanks

No this will affect Lift Z for all layers.

You can find this setting in your Filament Overrides or in Printer Settings under Extruder. If you set it in Printer Settings just make sure to disable the Filament Overdrive which I believe defaults to on at .02 There are also options for Only Lift Z above/below a desired layer height you can probably play around with.
