Hardware Acceleration for faster slicing?

Hi

I just wanted to find out if there is a setting that allows prusaslicer to take advantage of the gpu when slicing more geometrically complex models so it doesn't lag down your entire pc by just pushing all the computations on the cpu.

PrusaSlicer was originally based on Slic3r which was largely written in PERL. Prusa has since ported it over to C++, but I haven't seen any discussion about implementing such a feature. It's an interesting idea, but I'm sure there are a lot of technical issues that would need to be addressed by the developers. You might want to check out the PrusaSlicer page on GitHub and possibly submit a feature request. The developers are only on these support forums infrequently, but they are very active on GitHub.

Thanks I'll go open a feature request there.

Far from being an expert in this space but I suspect it's for the same reason (that I don't know) why CAD programs only use the GPU for rendering, not for actual calculations.
