Half of the model missing after slicing
I download STL files from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3838135 and I was trying to get them printed. When I tried to slice pieces something like this happens. Does anyone know why it doesn't work? I think that something is wrong with the files but I don't know how to repair it. I downloaded the newest Slicer, it doesn't work in prusa control either. Thanks for all help.

Ok, so I clicked Right Mouse Button in Slicer and repair in Netfabb. It seems to be working now.

Thingiverse is full of broken/partial working models. The fix through netfabb option can work miracles sometimes but even it has its limits.
As for being able to tell, well the loaded in model has all those dark green areas which is not normal. That would give you the first clue. Also on your pictures you notice the model has a yellow triangle in the right hand window, that indicates a model with errors and it can tell you more.
