Gcode layer images
Is it possible to extract images of each gcode layer? I want to make a sort of flipbook kind of like an MRI scan I think? I am wondering if this is possible in Prusa slicer, or if there is an external software/script I could run to get this.
RE: Gcode layer images
If you slice for a Prusa Mini,
I Believe the output file is a zip format file, with images of the individual layers enclosed

RE:
You need to add SLS printer to the PrusaSlicer and use it as a printer, adjust layers etc, then slice and export and rename exported file as .zip and you can extract images.

RE: Gcode layer images
When I do this, the images have grey pixels in them. Is that correct? Wouldn't that just produce regions with half-polymerized resin? Or did I configure it incorrectly?
RE: Gcode layer images
Very interesting! You can try using PrusaSlicer to export each G-code layer. Otherwise, there are some external scripts like G-code Viewer that can help you extract the image of each layer. Good luck with your flipbook project!

RE: Gcode layer images
After you have sliced an object you can then export the toolpath as an OBJ file. I don't know what workflow would be required afterword to get your desired result. But, there is the possibility of a path...
