gcode import

I exported a gcode file from:

PrusaSlicer-2.2.0+linux-x64-202003211856.AppImage

I would like to import gcode back into the slicer, but there does not seem to be an option for that file type.  Is it hidden somewhere.  I've seen discussions of it such as:

RE: gcode import

No you can not import gcode into the slicer. Gcode is the finished output and is just a series of commands. Gcode that is created from Prusa Slicer does however have the settings used when it was sliced so you can import the settings to use on your current model. That’s the only thing you can load in from gcode at the moment.  It is under Import config

PS 2.2.0 doesn’t have hot end travel visualisation but the new not yet released 2.3.0 does so they may add in the ability to load in some existing gcode for use with that function.

An older bit of Prusa software called Prusa Control used to do that, I think it’s still available to download somewhere.

This comment made me wonder if I was missing something.  I guess not.

"It will be fixed in the next release."

RE: gcode import

The remark made me wonder whether there was something else going on here. Oh, well.

As the developer put it, "It will be fixed in the next release."
