Gaps around single-wall perimeters
Hey all,
I'm trying to print a model with flexure sections. I need these flexures to be one perimeter wall thick, but PrusaSlicer prints them with travel moves and retractions at the ends of the segments, which is creating weak points and gaps. See the attached pictures and .3mf file. I'm using PETG, which seems to make the gaps worse, but I need higher temperature tolerance than PLA.
Is there any way to force them to be a continuous part of the perimeter, or otherwise integrate them better with the rest of the print?

Hi Joe,
Can you please save a sample project file as a .3mf file, then ZIP Compress the Project file, and attach the ZIP file, to your next post, then hopefully someone will be able to help you.
regards Joan

RE: Gaps around single-wall perimeters
Joan they already attached the project thankfully.
Please examine the attached modified project file.
To sum up though, you will not be able to fix this using the Arachne slicing option. It will always do this. There are several raised issues on github relating to this already.
You need to change to Classic slicing. However as the walls are thin you will ALSO have to turn OFF Detect thin walls. This will lead to 2 extrusions widths on the flexures meaning this will be oversized but in practice this should still work. I also used the seam painting tool to force the seam to be in a different area just in case it decided it needed one on those edges.

Sorry. I was on my mobile and missed it...
