Force organic tree supports on vertical surface.

I have a tall, thin part I would like to add organic tree supports to to reduce wobble as it get taller.  The part is straight up and down and when I paint a few support dots up the side of the part, it is ignored when sliced and no support tree is produced.

I am sure i am doing some stupid, but can't figure out how to make the tree support do this.  I have no problem at all with the organic tree support in slanted objects, just straight up and down ones.

I am using the new Alpha version 2.6.0 Alpha 5

Any assistance appreciated.

RE: Force organic tree supports on vertical surface.

You can’t. Simple as. Support in PS is designed to support non vertical surfaces. Your best option is to model in suitable supports at the CAD stage.

OK.  It would sure be nice if there were a way to "tell" the support function to adjust the angle.

Thanks.
