First Layer Pattern
I'm trying to get a smooth first layer but keep getting a pattern. Sometimes it will actually peal off the model. Is there a setting that could be causing this?

I have no sense of scale/magnification for this model, so what I'm seeing could be perfectly normal even though it feels like you should lower your Live Z (aka first layer calibration). The fact that "it will peal off" also indicates that live Z is not properly set.
As an aside, for round objects like this, you may want to try the concentric infill pattern under Print Settings->Infill->Top and bottom fill pattern. It usually looks nicer (to my eye) than the standard monotonic for round surfaces.

Thank you! Will give that a try. For scale they are both camera lens cap size.
