Finding centers?

I can't do CAD but I do design small parts in Prusaslicer using the positive and negative shape gallery.

What's the best way to find the center of a circle or rectangle in PS, like if you want to place a hole in the exact center. I can eyeball pretty well but some things need to be precise.

Any ideas? Thanks!

RE: Finding centers?

First of all PS uses the bounding box of a shape, so something simple like a circle or a box is easy it’s where you would expect it to be. Not so easy with irregular shapes.
That aside the ‘easiest’ is to turn on centre objects. That way the main object and your modifier will all be -laced in the centre of the bed and so automatically centred.

If you can’t do that then on the right hand side is the object panel. That will display the centre coordinates of the bounding box for that object. You can then do the same with any modifier and make its coordinates match that of the object you want to put a hole in using that same panel.
