Filling in model improperly?

I'm trying to make a copy of a cookie cutter for a friend that she found online. I made a crude model in Fusion 360 and uploaded it into PrusaSlicer 2.7.1. The model looks like it renders properly. There is a warning about "1304 open edges", I think this might be a clue to the problem but I don't know how to fix it. When I slice the model it fills in the cookie cutter and makes it into a block... Can someone help me figure out how to fix this problem?

RE: Filling in model improperly?

Your image contains lots of errors. possibly due to changing the model size after finishing it...

You can Right click on the model and choose 'Fix with the Windows Repair Algorythm...

Alternatively check your slicing mode isn’t set to close holes. I’ve seen people accidentally change that setting so,show and then the model fills in exactly as pictured.

Fix with Windows Repair Algorithm very slowly turned it into a brick, as did aspose. I can't get meshmixer's site to load and formware  times out at 86% and I can't figure out how to get netfabb working in Fusion. I'm not sure why they are so many open edges, is there something in Fusion I should be looking for? I'm confused that it previews nicely in PrusaSlicer, but get sliced into a brick?

RE:

Have you tried the inbuilt "repair with Netfabb" option in Prusa Slicer? That can take some time, if the object is complicated but don't kill the Slicer just because it freezes, wait until its done. (For very complex cases I simply did let the Slicer run over night). For simple cases it is repaired within seconds.

So far I could repair almost any object with that inbuilt repair option. The only thing to look out for is that it deletes all cavities without opening to the outside.

If the repair takes too long you can try to use the option to simplify the object first. (Just choose "high", that should cut down polygons by a lot without changing the actual shape significantly). With less polygons also the reapir will be a lot faster.

This might also be worth a try: https://www.formware.co/onlinestlrepair

If you don't mind, you could also zip and post your fusion file and your slicer project for people to check...
