Feature Request - useful non-waste purge towers
Hey,
Apologies if this has been suggested before or even implemented, but... Is it possible to make a non wasteful purge tower?
What I'm thinking is if you had two models; one where you care about the colours and another functional print where you do not, you could assign the second print to essentially be the purge tower. Now, I realise there's significant complexity in it - for instance, material compatibility and that you'd need a minimum amount of material in the purge model per colour change... But surely worth the effort good a positive impact on our planet 😊
Disclaimer - I don't have a colour changing printer so my experience is based entirely from YouTube! 🤣
Cheers,
Gareth

with Prusa Slicer, you can use a normal purge tower, or Purge to Infill, or Purge to a model.
so the capability is already there
