Extrusion Multiplier Calibration

I've been printing for about six months now and I finally want to get into fine-tuning some settings.

Would it be valid to calibrate my extrusion multiplier by simply weighing the final print and comparing it to what the slicer says it should weigh (the filament profile's density matches Overture's technical data sheet at 1.21 g/cm^3).

I had what should have been a 77 g print come out to 74 g. Should I simply adjust the default Ovature PLA profile to 1.04? Or, for some reason, is this not valid?

RE: Extrusion Multiplier Calibration

Did you also weight purge lines and supports?

I would rather adjust density factor, changing extrusion multiplier has way more wider implications, which may not be what you want.

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.
